Point-anchored object tables: an entry names the single character it occupies, rather than starting a run that continues to the next entry.

Every one of these anchors something at a U+FFFC placeholder — an attachment, a footnote mark, a section break. The distinction matters when text is deleted: an entry exactly at the start of a deleted range is a run boundary that should survive in a run table, and the anchor of a character that no longer exists in one of these.
