Point-anchored object tables: an entry names the single character it occupies — an attachment or a footnote mark at its U+FFFC — rather than starting a run that continues to the next entry. The distinction matters when text is deleted: an entry exactly at the start of a deleted range is a run boundary that survives in a run table, and the anchor of a character that no longer exists in one of these.

The section table is not one of them: its entry marks where a section begins, whatever text lands there next, and every one of the corpus's 25 sectioned bodies keeps its first entry at 0. Treating it as point-anchored made any edit that touched a section's first character silently destroy the section list — rewriting paragraph 0 of a sectioned template took its pagination with it.
